On-board and train new employees
Post open positions and proactively recruit areas of the frequent need
Maintain ongoing relationships with employment agencies to ensure the selection of the most qualified candidates
Recruit and interview potential applicants on experience, skills, and education
Update job requirements when needed
Analyzes staffing logistics and organizes documentation
Contact applicant references and perform background checks required by company
Organize and manage new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs
Represent employer in community and recruiting events
Prepare termination and severance letters
Execute programs to help improve employee experiences
Implement company culture, values, and policies
Provide management with requested reports and documents
Help coordinate events with the Admin team focused on employee recognition
Maintain employee records and paperwork
Implement and administer employee policies
Identify ways to improve policies and procedures
Explain and provide information on employee benefits, programs, and education. May also advise on benefit needs or evaluate benefit contract bids.
Have working knowledge of all legal compliance for human resource federal and state requirements
Manages committees on wellness, training, health and safety, culture, and communications as needed
Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: (Includes but not limited to)
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field, or extensive prior experience in human resources
Possesses excellent written and spoken communication skills
Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills
Excellent computer skills, knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping
Organized and efficient in daily tasks
Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred.
General knowledge of employment laws and best practices
PHR or SPHR certification a plus
Positive, service-oriented attitude
Ability to maintain discretion in handling sensitive/confidential issues
Ability to work well independently and with a team
